چکیده
Isocyanate-free cathodic ED coatings. Most of the resins used in the cathodic electrodeposition (CED) coatings are made from modified epoxy resin and blocked polyisocyanate in which the crosslinking is achieved by polyurethane and polyurea formation. A resin system has been developed that is isocyanate free and avoids not only the toxicity aspect, but also, to a great extent, the weight loss of the coating upon baking. Chintankumar J. Patel, Hitesh Hirani, Ashok Dighe. The adoption of a "Green" approach to the manufacture and application of paints and coating helps users minimize environmental impact [1]. Therefore the current trend in the coating industry is towards the eco-friendly coatings such as waterborne coatings. Along with elimination of organic solvents from the coating formulation, high transfer efficiency during paint application is also very important as it helps not only in meeting environmental regulations and cutting costs, but also provides a safer work place [2]. The method of applying waterborne coating called electrodeposition was introduced during 1960s. It fulfills the requirements of low pollution and high transfer efficiency [3]. Since its introduction, the process has been a growing coatings technology that provides excellent corrosion protection with more effective paint utilization, uniform thickness, good throwing power, operational efficiency and safety. Catalyzed Synthesis and Characterization of a Novel Lignin-Based Curing Agent for the Curing of High-Performance Epoxy Resin
In this study, lignin, an aromatic compound from the forestry industry, was used as a renewable material to synthesize a new aromatic amine curing agent for epoxy resin. Firstly, lignin was separated from black liquor and hydroxyl groups were converted to tosyl groups as leaving groups. Then, primary amination was conducted using an ammonia solution at high pressure and temperature, in the pres...
متن کاملOptimization of thermal curing cycle for a large epoxy model
Heat generation in an exothermic reaction during the curing process and low thermal conductivity of the epoxy resin produces high peak temperature and temperature gradients which result in internal and residual stresses, especially in large epoxy samples. In this paper, an optimization algorithm was developed and applied to predict the thermal cure cycle to minimize the temperature peak and the...

Improvement and stabilization of soils are widely used to improve the physical and mechanical properties of sandy soils. Despite the abundance of researchers that have been conducted on this topic to date, most of them have focused on dry soil. The effects of the existing water in the soil and different curing durations (curing environment) have not been investigated. In this study, different p...
متن کاملCuring kinetics and morphology of a nanovesicular epoxy/stearyl-block-poly(ethylene oxide) surfactant system.
Brittle epoxy based thermosets can be made tougher by introducing structural inhomogeneities at the micro- or nanoscale. In that respect, nano vesicles and worm-like micelles from self-assembling blockcopolymers have been shown to be very effective. This paper describes the curing kinetics and morphology of an epoxy composed of diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A (DGEBA) and 4,4'-methylenedianiline...
